It is with deep sadness that we note the passing of our beloved teacher. Qigong Master and Qigong Therapist, Dr. Bingkun Hu died peacefully of natural causes on June 24, 2021.

Dr. Hu leaves a rich legacy of thousands of students and patients, who have benefited from his workshops, private practice and teaching DVDs. Deeply passionate about imparting the essence of Qigong to help people feel healthier and happier, he was a rare master whose unique gifts in supporting positive transformation through the flow of qi instilled wonder and improved the lives of so many.

Thank you Dr. Hu for all that you have given us. Your tireless dedication to sharing the knowledge gained over a lifetime of practice was precious. Your teachings will continue to reverberate for many years to come.

Dr. Bingkun Hu is a medical Qigong master & Qigong therapist. He has been practicing Qigong for 50 years and is a disciple of Grandmaster Yang, Mei-jun. With a background in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Ph.D. in Western Psychology, Dr. Hu has been instrumental in bringing the essence of both Taoist & Buddhist Qigong to the American public in a systematic and approachable way.

In 2001, Dr. Hu was acknowledged as one of the "Outstanding People of the 21st Century" in honor of his "Outstanding contribution to Medical Qigong" by the International Biographical Center in Cambridge, England. Dr. Hu's publications include 11 Qigong video tapes, 9 of which are devoted to Wild Goose (Dayan) Qigong. He has taught over 60 traditional Chinese Qigongs to thousands of Americans through his Qigong workshops. Dr. Hu teaches workshops all across the U.S. and works with individual patients and students at his office in Berkeley, CA.
